The pediatric CPR and Pediatric first aid training must be from the American Red Cross (ARC), American Heart Association (AHA) or an Emergency Medical Services Authority (EMSA) approved training organization. Potential training organizations can call EMSA @ (916) 322-4336 for application now. ARC & AHC are named in the legislation and do not need addition approval. When you enroll in a course or organize a course, it is suggested by CCHP that you confirm that the instructor is an approved trainer from an approved training organization. You can check the training agency by contracting EMSA (916) 322-4336, or CCHP’S new Health line services which has telephone numbers of approved agencies available. Providers are encouraged to work with their local Resource & Referral programs and community colleges in their search for required trainings.
